Debrand and Change Language on Nokia DCT4 & BB5 Phones
The newest and simplest way to debrand and change languages on Nokia phones. With the Nextgen server and a DKU-2 usb cable (as supplied with the phone) you can now change the product code on your Nokia Phone.
The product code is used by Nokia when you use their Nokia Firmware update service to determine which firmware and language packs should be loaded into your phone. By changing the product code of your Nokia phone to that of the same model but to one belonging to a non network branded version, The Nokia firmware update service will load the firmware for that phone instead, when you update your Nokia handset.
You may also change the languages in your phone in the same way, by changing the product code of your Nokia phone to that of one supplied in a different country or region, The Nokia firmware tool will then load the firmware and languages from that region onto your phone.
Until now it has not been possible to debrand or change the language in your Nokia phone with out taking it to a specialist service center, or purchasing a professional Nokia service repair solution, with Nextgen Server you can achieve all of this with just a PC a DKU-2 usb cable (as supplied in the box with the phone) and an internet connection.
